推 特 政 策

Introduction

  • This page sets out how the CityUSU Arbitration Committee uses Twitter.

Content

  • The @cityusuarbc Twitter account is managed by the Secretary-General of the Arbitration Committee. If you follow this account, you can expect 2-3 tweets a month covering the cases, judgments, and announcements of the Arbitration Committee.

Replies and direct messages

  • We welcome feedback from followers and will read all @replies. However we will not always be able to reply individually to all the messages we receive via Twitter, because of resource constraints.

  • The Arbitration Committee is bound by the Rules of the Arbitration Committee (Procedural Guidelines) and the principle of Judicial Independent. Therefore, we cannot engage in any discussion of politics issues. You should also be aware that the Arbitration Committee cannot offer legal advice and we will not enter into discussion about published judgments.

  • Sending messages to our Twitter feed will not be considered as contacting the Arbitration Committee for any official purpose.

  • If you need to contact the Arbitration Committee for official correspondence, please visit our About Us  page.

  • We would prefer to receive Information requests via email, in order to assist us in giving a full response and help.

Following

  • If you follow @cityusuarbc, we will not automatically follow you back. This avoids us having to spend time dealing with spam accounts, and helps keep discussions open by limiting the use of Direct Messages.

  • @cityusuarbc will follow organisations of relevance to it and may follow individuals where appropriate. We will cease to follow accounts we believe are malicious or spam.

  • The fact that we follow a Twitter account does not imply endorsement of any kind by the Arbitration Committee.

Availability

  • The Secretary-General of the Arbitration Committee will generally update and monitor our Twitter account during office hours only, Monday to Friday.

  • Twitter may occasionally become unavailable. The Arbitration Committee cannot accept responsibility for lack of service due to Twitter downtime.

  • 仲裁委員會秘書長通常只會於星期一至星期五的辦公時間內,更新及監察仲裁委員會的推特帳戶。

  • 推特可能偶然停止運作,仲裁委員會對因此而未能提供服務概不負責。
